Final Week

Hey everybody,

So this is my final week. I can’t believe it’s my final week in my field experience. Time happens so fast. I feel like I just started my semester a while ago and now it’s almost over.

At my last day in my field, my partner bought timbits for them. We also had a dance party at the end of the class and invited the class beside us to join. The classroom was full with kindergartens and were all dancing. It was quite an exercise if you’d ask me. But dancing with them is so much fun. Ms. Kerster is an awesome teacher she knows how to deal with kindergartens and gave us tips. We also had small talks and would ask questions on how she does her job and how to be better she is also in the process of growing and learning as a teacher.

My overall experience was a mixture of learning and growing. At the beginning of my semester I didn’t have the big picture of what to expect as a teacher. I thought that everything will flow smoothly but didn’t really think that there’s so much more than just teach. As I do my field placement I learned to be bold, independent, and responsible. It wasn’t easy because I have to change my attitude and personality to be better. Despite of unwanted circumstances I enjoyed my experience and time working with kindergartens. There was some that are quite interesting and some that are not so interesting. Although being a teacher takes a lot of patience it eventually pays off because of the result that will be seen in the students and how much influence has put in them. I definitely fell in love with the kindergartens that I worked with. There is still a lot to learn and I know I won’t be able to learn everything in one placement.
